You create and customise your Hobbit character in the fledgling settlement of Bywater, working alongside the villagers to help them gain official village status. Gameplay centres on typical Hobbit activities, such as furnishing a Hobbit hole with gridless furniture arrangements, tending a garden, fishing in clear ponds and foraging for wild ingredients. Food plays a central role: you prepare home-cooked meals using harvested crops and seasonal ingredients, then share these dishes with your fellow Hobbits, building relationships and hosting dinner parties.
