Three Kingdoms Heroes is a turn-based RPG that reimagines the legendary story of Zhao Yun during China’s Three Kingdoms. The game follows Zhao Yun’s full journey from birth to becoming one of the Five Tiger Generals, featuring historical events and famous generals from this epic era. Combat features classic turn-based mechanics, as well as a unique equipment system with multiple items, soul inlays, and free customization.

The adventure takes place on an open map with iconic locations such as the Bowang Stone Array and mystical elements including the Spirit Tree and fantasy realms. Players can recruit various historical generals, each with unique fate traits such as extreme departure from the Ming Dynasty and sun and moon in one palace. Aside from the main campaign, the game includes casual mini-games such as Gobang and Sokoban for lighter entertainment.

The character development highlights Zhao Yun as the central figure, with several female characters showing romantic interest in the protagonist. The developer created this indie game as a nostalgic tribute to childhood memories of classic strategy games, aiming to bring back that sense of wonder through Zhao Yun’s heroic saga. The game combines traditional Three Kingdoms plots with modern RPG elements and strategic depth.
