About The Game

Inkshade challenges the player to place carved wooden figures inside a series of interconnected and sealed rooms. Each turn-based move and action is controlled by an omniscient game master, who orchestrates encounters where survival is not guaranteed. The figures are filled with a viscous black substance that serves as their life force. Strengthening some units or breaking down locked doors requires sacrificing this essence of others, which permanently changes their appearance.

Full Description

To advance further, you must engage in brutal tactical battles. The gameplay is built around internal resource, as powerful abilities are unlocked through self-torture, requiring the destruction of figures to release their potential. Defeating an opponent allows the miniature to absorb the essence of the fallen, replenishing its supply of life force through the brutal act of absorption. Such actions physically and functionally change the wooden units for the rest of the confrontation, creating a complex dynamic where each gain is balanced by a tangible loss.

This cycle of sacrifice and absorption becomes the key to survival in a hostile environment. The otherworldly entity introduces new rules and threats, pushing for difficult decisions that lead to the destruction of valuable pieces. Each lost unit in Inkshade is shattered into pieces, its internal fluid spilling onto the board and being absorbed by it. The final goal of the entire game remains unclear, hidden behind a series of ruthless tests in which any victory comes at a high price.
