Veterum v0.9.4.7 (upd.14.12.2025)

Veterum is a turn-based tactical strategy game where victory on the battlefield depends on numerous variables, and the interactive environment becomes a powerful tool in the commander's hands. Success in battle is determined not only by the careful positioning of units but also by their morale, accumulated fatigue, line of sight, and even lighting conditions. Gameplay allows for direct modification of the landscape: erecting barricades, digging ditches, or freezing rivers to create crossings are all part of the tactical arsenal. Before the battle begins, you can use one-use scrolls to summon rain or build a catapult, gaining an advantage even before the first turn.

The action takes place in a fantasy world on the brink of an apocalypse foretold by mad prophets. Awakened ancient wilds and bloodthirsty cults threaten all life. The last army of the Order of the Gatekeepers must stand against the approaching chaos. In the Veterum project, not only humans but also hardy dwarves, mysterious elvers, and semi-savage Turans will stand under the commander's banner. However, commanding such a multinational force is complicated by the fact that not all races are prepared to fight shoulder to shoulder.

Journeys take place in an open world filled with dangers and secrets. Completing quests and exploring locations rewards you with rare artifacts that can be equipped for your soldiers. As you progress, your soldiers improve their stats, mastering new active and passive skills. Procedurally generated quests, random encounters, and goods in cities make each playthrough unique. For those who wish to express their creativity, a map and mission editor is available.
