Gordon Freeman’s girlfriend, Alix Vance, acts as a protagonist, who, together with a resistance detachment led by her father, will have to unequally confront the Alliance, the race of evil aliens. According to the plot twists and turns, the beloved nuclear physicist Gordon Freeman is in a state of cryogenic sleep — this explains his absence as a leading character.

The gameplay elements have remained quite traditional for the series running, jumping, portals, shooting from futuristic and not-so-cannons, solving intricate and interesting puzzles, and much more.
