England, XII century. Despite the war and terrible poverty, construction of the cathedral begins in a small town in order to give people security and livelihood. In the struggle and adversity, lives and fates are dramatically intertwined. The monk Philip becomes the prince of the small Kingsbridge monastery. At the same time, somewhere in the woods there lives a boy named Jack with his hermit mother. He becomes a student of a bricklayer and gradually grows into a gifted master builder. Together with Alien, a defiled count's daughter, Jack and Philip begin to erect one of the greatest cathedrals in the history of England.

Instructions
