Alien Horizon is a colonial strategy with elements of a simulator, in which you will need to go to a distant continent of the galaxy to build a human civilization. The events of Alien Horizon unfold in the distant future, when the Earth has become uninhabitable. To find a new home, earthlings send an expedition to explore the vastness of the galaxy in search of a habitable planet. The player takes control of a shuttle. Having landed on one distant planet, it is necessary to build a base and begin collecting resources in order to be able to prepare the ground for the arrival of the rest of the people. The fate of all mankind depends on the actions of the player. The colonial simulator allows you to erect buildings, develop advanced technologies and much more.

The main mechanics Alien Horizon, in addition to construction, is an element of social policy. You will need to create a set of laws, rebuild social principles and norms. Having a small number of colonists at your disposal, you need to learn interaction and mutual understanding in order to survive in the wild. At the beginning, there are not many starting resources. You need to distribute them correctly in order to build the most important buildings for survival. After that, you will need to assign people to jobs and send an expedition to search for resources. Gradually expanding, new technologies are discovered and additional types of buildings become available, allowing you to constantly develop within the unknown continent.

Instructions

1. The first thing we do is download the game’s installation files.
2. After downloaded, go to the folder and run the file «setup.exe».
3. During the installation, we specify the location on the disk where we want to install it.

Technical
• Added support for any aspect ratio, be it ultrawide, 4:3 or anything else.
• Colonists no longer use buses if they'd save less than an hour of walking. This is to make the bus system less overloaded and take bus intervals more into account.
• Waste water and carbon dioxide created from colonists' water and oxygen usage are now always stored in the life support provider the oxygen and water were used from. This significantly improves load balancing of life support facilities and dramatically lowers the amount of water that has to be carried between them.
• It's no longer possible to explore sectors diagonally.
• Areas around the starting ship and cargo ships are now guaranteed to be traversable.
• Too many construction workers were sent to another site if a site was close to finishing and they had too low productivity. Now their productivity is taken into account, ensuring that the site does finish the next hour.
• Construction workers with 0 productivity could be sent alone to finish a construction site, never finishing it. Now more workers are sent in this case.
Balance
• Doubled the time before a structure needs maintenance. This should make cargo resources last longer and allow construction workers to focus on other tasks.
• Lowered number of colonists in stasis from 1500 to 1200.

Fixes
• Crash when loading a save that was saved with whitespace at the beginning of its name.
• Crash when debug deleting a building with workers inside.
• Crash when keeping a bus in a bus line with no bus stops.
• Rare crash related to local notifications.
• Rare crash when the game was loaded while the running game had bus lines in it.
• Families that lived together had extreme reluctance to moving to another house, even if it was significantly better for them.
• Colonists didn't properly move their belongings (consumer goods) when moving houses, leaving them for the next person to move in.
• Malfunctioning structure started working again after reload, only showing that it's malfunctioning.
• Maintenance was logged as repair in game log.
• Vehicle that lost assignment to logistics office interrupted its job, never finishing it or giving it to another vehicle.

• Improved the notification pin informing about lack of schools - it shows when capacity is about to run out and not only for basic schools, but higher education too.
• Resource production tooltip in mines shows estimated time to deposit depletion.
• Services, stores and clinics show a local notification when they're getting overloaded by demand.
• Palm oil is no longer counted towards food reserves in status bar if its consumption is not allowed by law.
Technical
• Adjusted contrast and saturation during night scenes to make them look more night-like.
Balance
• Ores can be stored in silos.
Fixes
• Crash when the game attempts to autosave if there's an empty folder named autosave in the save directory.
• Random crash related to model rendering. Hotfix. Exact cause was not found.
• Colonists could enter buildings through unfinished units, then complain about lack of life support.
• If a central structure with units was demolished before the units, the units were deleted with it, losing all their resources. The central structure now waits before it's deleted.
• Tools that switched overlays (like survey or landscaping) didn't switch back to their overlay if another overlay was activated and deactivated during their use.
• Some saved enabled overlays that were re-enabled when the game was loaded didn't properly activate their own toggles.
• Exploration could've been queued beyond the edge of the map.
