About The Game

Wildfrost is a roguelike with card game elements. It was developed by two indie studios — Deadpan Games founded by Will Lewis, who previously worked on Caveblazers and Gaziter formerly of Forager. The game was published by Chucklefish. Wildfrost takes us on a journey to a fantasy world controlled by Wild Frost. The last bastion of the old order is the settlement of Snowwell. We become the leader of the tribe living there and set off on a journey, the purpose of which is to get to the Temple of the Sun, defeat the Frost Guardian and deal with the cataclysm once and for all. We start the game in Wildfrost by choosing a tribe that lives in Snowdwell and its leader. Chieftains are diverse in skills and statistics. Then we have no choice but to start a long and dangerous journey through the game world.

Full Description

The path that we have to go, as well as the places we have to visit and the events in which we have to take part, are presented on a visual map. The game world is procedurally generated, so each expedition looks a little different. Moreover, even after completing the main task, we have something to do, because we can devote ourselves to daily missions and challenges. Battles play the first fiddle during our journey. We fight in turn-based mode and play cards corresponding to certain units, attacks or effects for example, buffing our deck or neutralizing the opponent’s next attack. Since cards are played automatically, the key to success is to position your deck in such a way that you have the best chance of winning. In addition, each card has a counter that measures the time until it is used again.

As you progress through the game, you expand your deck for example, freeing creatures trapped in the ice that willingly join you and unlock various power-ups for those you already have, allowing you to take on more and more new challenges. In addition, between escapades, you can spend some time in Snowwell and develop the settlement. The construction of new buildings pays off, as they give us access to useful upgrades, cosmetic additions and additional challenges.

How to Install

1. The first thing we do is download the game’s installation files.
2. After downloaded, go to the folder and run the file «setup.exe».
3. During the installation, we specify the location on the disk where we want to install it.
4. At the end of the unpacking process, a shortcut appears on the desktop.
