Puyo Puyo Tetris is a mix of classic Tetris and Puyo Puyo series of games, which is a switch between two modes — actually Tetris and arcade role-playing game. At one time, the frenzied popularity of «Tetris» spawned a wave of games with similar mechanics. A quarter of a century ago in Japan appeared Puyo Puyo, the rights to release which were soon divided Sega and Nintendo. The gameplay resembled «Tetris» with the difference that it was suggested to lay out combinations not from geometrically verified tetraminoes, but from multi-colored drops of Pouyo to the bottom of the glass.
