Cover Story is an adult romance visual novel for ages 18. It contains frequent, fully explicit sexual content depicted in still, anime style CG artwork including full nudity, visible genitalia, and graphic depictions of consensual sexual activity between adult characters, such as vaginal intercourse in multiple positions and oral sex. All sexual content depicts consenting adults in private, romantic situations. The game also contains mild profanity and on screen alcohol consumption wine, and scenes set in a bar.

Regarding topics that players may be sensitive to: the story references suicide specifically the off screen, pre story death of a secondary character who never appears, a death officially ruled a suicide that the main characters dispute. This is conveyed through dialogue only and is never shown or depicted.
