After some time, the characters decide to restore their relationship and both go on a long journey. In a 2D platformer, you can move forward and backward and make jumps. The heroine is a girl with short turquoise hair in a pink and blue dress. Her friend is a giant man with dark skin and a yellow cape. On their way to each other, they cross lakes, dark forests, and rocks. The characters encounter obstacles that prevent them from going further. For example, to gain access to a platform, you need to move a block with a laser so that it is reflected. There is a portal system. The heroes have magical powers; the man can shoot fireballs.

The passage of Hand In Hand is complicated by large green monsters. Just by moving they cause an earthquake, which can kill the protagonists. The health bar is at the bottom of the screen. The girl has the ability to disappear for a while. Instead, a glowing blue silhouette remains on the display. In total, the player will meet 4 antagonists. They are the evil spirits of the forest and oppose the reunion of old friends. It is possible to cross rivers and lakes on rafts. You can move between the rocks using ropes.
