POPUCOM is a multiplayer cooperative platform adventure game developed by Hypergryph that puts players on an alien planet as part of an exoplanet expedition. The game places a strong emphasis on teamwork and cooperation as players face off against various enemies, solve puzzles, and work with friends to restore peace. Color mechanics form the core of the gameplay, requiring players to switch between different colors to activate mechanisms, solve puzzles, and fight enemies using Pomu gel projectiles that alter the environment.

Combat combines traditional action elements with match 3 shooting mechanics that players must master to complete challenges. Throughout the adventure, players collect super artifacts such as the Rollo Bomb, Captain Kitty, Barrier Bot, and Strong Kid, each of which provides unique abilities to overcome obstacles and solve puzzles. The game features extensive character customization via the Closet system, allowing players to mix and match equipment and cosmetics to create a customized look. Aside from the main adventure, POPUCOM includes an arcade game with various mini-games that provide a lighthearted break from the main platforming and puzzle solving. The combination of co-op action, color mechanics, and social features creates a casual yet fun experience that focuses on friendship and teamwork.
