Rum and Gun uses a pirate theme as a setting. The hero travels through the lands located in the Indian Ocean, fighting on land with people and monsters. He tries to stop the captain, who has enlisted the support of evil forces. He also has to learn the secrets of the Drunken God. The plot is presented with jokes and self-irony. The story is divided into acts. This is an isometric shooter and action with role-playing elements. Rum & Gun has blood and meat. Here you can cut the undead in half. There are 20 types of weapons available to destroy enemies. And there are 75 types of opponents. In addition to the single-player campaign, there is a cooperative mode for two.

In addition, there is a map editor. Gamers can share their creativity with other players. And multiplayer allows you to run with a friend through levels created by other users. Locations are not randomly generated and are separate stages. You can return to them again for the sake of grinding and farming. The protagonist performs close attacks with a rapier, sabre, and other blades. To deal damage from a distance, there are pistols, muskets, sniper rifles, and machine guns.
