The Fortress is a dungeon crawler adventure RPG where you assume the role of a nameless prisoner imprisoned in a Lich's citadel. To escape eternal imprisonment, you must fight your way through procedurally generated rooms. Developed by Rome-based studio Baryonyx Games, the game offers nine playable classes, each with unique abilities and strategies that shape your approach to survival. The combat system relies on dice rolling, combining luck with tactical planning: every action and equipment selection requires careful consideration. You'll face over 70 types of enemies and bosses, while collecting over 60 items, relics, and gear to customize your build and increase your chances of survival. A gothic narrative introduces you to dubious allies from vampire merchants to fallen abbots forcing you to weigh the risks of deals that could either aid your escape or hasten your demise.

Death isn't the end here when one prisoner perishes, another takes their place, continuing the cycle in the best traditions of a roguelike structure, where each run presents new challenges.
