Beastro is a casual indie RPG from Timberline Studio that combines cooking simulation and strategic combat. You play as Panko, a young chef tasked with running a local restaurant in the village of Palo Pori after his mentor disappears, while darkness and monsters threaten the peaceful community. Gameplay centers on gathering ingredients, growing crops, raising animals, and managing a farm to table restaurant, where you serve the townspeople through culinary minigames involving slicing, flipping, and frying. Your primary goal is to feed the Guardians brave adventurers who venture beyond the village to battle monsters and the dishes you prepare directly impact their combat effectiveness.

Each Guardian has unique taste preferences based on their region of origin, so you must create balanced dishes that boost their stats and unlock new abilities. The combat system is a turn based deck-building game inspired by trick-taking card games, where each ingredient you prepare becomes a card in the Guardians deck, with special effects like putting enemies to sleep or destroying their cards. Battles unfold like charming puppet shows as Guardians return from their expeditions, sometimes bringing back ingredients from monsters as loot. You can customize the menu and interior of your restaurant, level up your skill tree, and experiment with wild herbs and new seeds to expand your culinary offerings. The game combines cozy town management with tactical combat in a fantasy world where cooking is the key to saving the world.
