About This Game

Overview

A simple permissions system will limit the ability of other visitors to your farm, so you do not have to worry: nobody will spoil your farm. Customize the farm and your appearance. You can remake almost any detail to your taste: a fence, roads, buildings, decor elements. Prove to your neighbors that you are not only a good farmer, but also a smart interior designer.

Instructions

1. The first thing we do is download the game’s installation files. 
2. Mount or burn the ISO image in the disk emulator (UltraISO program). 
3. During the installation, we specify the location on the disk where we want to install it. 
4. Wait until the installation process is complete, a shortcut will appear on the desktop.
5. Copy the contents of the folder «PLAZA» in the folder with the game. 
6. Start the game.

Farm Together Update #3 - Moving items around!

New features:
  • You can now set custom filters in the Find Farms section: Friends only, Permission level, etc.
  • New farm items: Poppies, Mulberry, Dirt path, brick path, Eel and Muraera.
  • New customization item: Dino head.
  • New community translations available: German, Swedish, Norwegian, Romanian and Brazilian Portuguese.
  • You can move more than one item at once (up to 8). Just press the Move key on all the objects you want to move to enqueue them, an orange border will be shown.
  • Added Belarus & Philippines flags.
Improvements:
  • The Find Farms section is sorted so farms with more players are shown first.
  • You can now Invite players to your farm from the Pause menu.
Gameplay changes:
  • Adjusted some buildings' storage and earning values.
Bugfixes:
  • Fixed bugs & crashes related with splitting big ponds.
  • Fixed fish quests not being properly calculated (they ended up requiring more items than intended)
  • Fixed game crashing when disconnecting the controller.

Farm Together Update #5 - Weather effects, roses, and much more!

New features:
  • Seasons now have a small chance (1/8) of having a weather effect (rain, heat or snow).
  • Added a confirmation dialog when unlocking a new chunk of land.
  • Added French, Chinese, Turkish, Finnish, Hungarian, Dutch community translations.
  • Added an "Expert Mode" option that hides the game UI and tile preview for better immersion. In this mode, you can use the Tab key to show the interface for a moment. Hiding icons will probably come in a later update.
  • Added a Gas Station that generates more fuel per second and has a bigger tank.
  • New crops: Corn, Potato, 2 Roses
  • Added a non-directional sign.
  • New fences: Gate variants of previous fences.
  • New customization item: Viking helmet
Improvements:
  • Added some autorecovery features to the farm list, so if the file is not saved properly, it will be recovered (you'll lose your player progress level, but not the farms).
  • You can now harvest animals with the tractor.
  • You can now delete tiles with the tractor.
Gameplay changes:
  • Pond earnings are now calculated per tile instead of globally, which should make them more predictable.
  • Ponds now give 1 item experience point per use.
  • Gas stations can now be interacted anytime as long as they have 25 points of fuel (instead of having to wait 1 minute).
  • Fruit Press now requires 50 fruit instead of 25, but it can be used every minute (instead of 5 minutes).

Farm Together Update #6 - Paths on Slopes, Hats and plenty of new items!

New features:
  • New crops: Broccoli, Agave, Blueberry
  • New tree: Lychee
  • New fish: Hammerhead Shark

  • 2 New avatar hats.
  • Option to disable mouse cursor lock to window
  • Option to set maximum framerate when VSync is disabled

  • Option to hide tile icons, or reduce their size.

Gameplay changes:
  • Doubled chance of special weather effects
  • Reduced earnings and price of several trees, animals and ponds to bring them more in line with crops.
  • Changed the way ponds work: Now you will fish them in groups of 10 instead of all at the same time, but you won't have a money penalty. Growth is now calculated per tile, so the "reset timer" exploit should be fixed as well.
Bugfixes:
  • Fixed Unlock chunk confirmation dialog not working with the space key.
  • Fixed chat not showing when Expert mode is enabled.
  • Fixed invalid Storage size issues caused by previous update.
  • Fixed collision issues with the withered tree

Update #20 - Bigger Farms!

New features:
  • Increased farm size to 5x5 unlockable areas. Area unlock level threshold has been reduced a bit so it's easier to unlock chunks now.
  • Created 10 new area layouts to fill the new space.
  • New items: 
    • Saanen Goat
    • Purple Hydrangea
    • Two aquatic decorations: Rubber duck and Boat
  • New customization items:
    • Round Glasses
    • New cap
    • Kabuki face paint
Improvements:
  • On 64bit versions of Windows, the game executable is now 64bits as well. It should help with some out-of-memory crashes in specific farms.
  • Quest Discard key has been changed from Alt to Control.
Bugfixes:
  • Fixed Goats model so they have 2 udders instead of 4.
  • Fixed Quest rewards not counting towards the "Earn 500 Medals" achievement.

Update #30 - Fish & Gift Shop - Test Update!

Some Q&A on these changes:
  • How do I opt in?
    To try this update, open the game's properties on the Steam client, go to the Betas tab, and select the "beta" branch. The client will download the update. If the "beta" branch is not shown, please try restarting the Steam client.
  • Will my data be safe?
    We're rather sure it will. If you experience problems please let us know.
  • If I opt in, can I go back later to the previous update?
    You can opt out of the beta, but any farm saved in the new format won't be loaded by previous versions of the game (this has always been the case).
  • If I opt in, will I be able to join people outside the beta?
    No, farms with a different version can't be joined. They won't appear on the farm list and will throw an error if you try to join via invites etc.
  • When will the update become available to everyone?
    Once we have enough data and feedback to make sure it works as expected and no major bugs arise, we'll make it available to everyone. Depending on how many people test it out and how many issues arise, it can be just a few days, or more.

  • Changed networking protocol to use Steam P2P. This should improve overall connectivity.
  • Changed save format to a different one. This should help with some save data corruption.

Update #34 - More customization!

New features:
  • "Recent Visitors" and "Custom Permissions" sections have been added to Farm Settings in the pause menu (only visible if someone did join your farm, or if you assigned custom permissions to someone), so you can favorite/change permissions/ban after a player has left.
  • Added Vietnamese language. Kudos to Nguyễn Thành Đạt for the translation (this was actually added in past week's update, but we forgot to mention it).
New items:
  • 4 New 2x1 Paintings for the house
  • New clothing: Business Suit

Gameplay changes:
  • Readjusted level caps: Level caps for players and items is reverted back to 100. For farms, it's changed to 200, but leveling up from 100 onwards will be progressively harder. Experience will be readjusted, so you will be moved back to the proper level in the new system.
  • Farmhands: Increased upkeep price (2 tickets every hour instead of every 2 hours), and reduced maximum time they can be paid in advance (4 hours instead of 8).
Improvements:
  • Quest related items are now shown in yellow in the farm map.
Bugfixes:
  • Should have fixed a 1x1 resolution problem in Linux.

It's been an incredible experience to watch so many people enjoying the game and being so creative for the 7 months the game has been in Early Access! We sincerely hope you keep enjoying the game for a long time.

  • You can now quickly recycle several items by entering mass recycle mode, to do this hold and release the recycle key.
  • Added a simple profanity filter for chat. You can disable it (or disable all text chat) in the Game options.
Gameplay changes:
  • "Harvest only" permission level now allows to plow on harvested land.

  • Changed a few rocks for small lakes in one of the terrain chunks.
Bugfixes:
  • Fixed wrong smoke puffs when placing fences besides buildings.

  • Added an option in the find farms filter to look for a specific farm name. It has to be the exact full username, it won't do partial searches.

  • The preview for locked walls/floors in houses will be now blacked.

  • Barns and the new red barn will now act as Storage buildings, increasing overall resource storage. Previously placed barns will be converted to the new type.
  • Water tiles have been moved from the Decoration to the Roads section.
  • Halved price of the cursed Pumpkins
  • The boost meter now also doubles resource yield of harvests and increases money earnings by approximately 20%.
Bugfixes:
  • Should have fixed graphic crashes on certain cards related to the Pirannhas.
  • Fixed long chat lines being cut.
  • Fixed gold nuggets exchange not being properly applied on visitors.
  • Trees will no longer collide right away when planted.
  • Fixed issue in the find farms section that could cause to show negative money values.
