Instructions

1. The first thing we do is download the game’s installation files. 
2. Mount or burn the ISO image in the disk emulator (UltraISO program). 
3. During the installation, we specify the location on the disk where we want to install it. 
4. Wait until the installation process is complete, a shortcut will appear on the desktop.
5. Download & install Update v3.1, in game folder.
6. Copy the contents of the folder «CODEX» in the game folder.
7. Start the game with a shortcut.

Artillery Units & Base Defense Rework

Base defenses and artillery cruisers are getting a rework to make the game flow better and be more intuitive to new players. (Rather than 10 cruisers getting destroyed by a single Sentinel.) Previously certain units were unable to attack structures or units with their main weapon which was contrived and inflexible, making units fit into overly rigid roles.
  • The following cruisers can now attack buildings with their main weapons: Athena, Mauler, Zeus, Nemesis, Avenger
  • Artemis and Destructor Artillery cruisers can attack units (but have difficulty attacking targets moving dynamically)
  • Base defenses build time reduced by approximately 25%
Artemis (PHC)
Reworked to have a single unified weapon against all targets. Missile DPS increased to match lost Harpoon.
  • Harpoon attack removed
  • Missile attack now uses harpoon visual effect
  • Missile attack can now target buildings
  • Damage increased from 32 to 85
  • Attacks per volley increased from 2 to 6
  • Projectile speed reduced from 200 to 150
  • Health reduced from 820 to 520
  • Movement speed reduced from 150 to 100
  • Metal cost increased from 325 to 380
  • Minimum range increased from 100 to 300
  • Radioactives cost increased from 57 to 90
Destructor (Substrate)
  • Can now target units
  • AOE increased from 0 to 10 (This means that the specific locations of each rain drop applies damage, rather than the damage “tracking” the target)
  • Health/Shields reduced from 200/720 to 100/400
  • Movement speed reduced from 150 to 100
  • Secondary weapon damage reduced from 10 to 2
  • Minimum range increased from 50 to 300
  • Metal cost increased from 305 to 380
  • Radioactives cost increased from 56 to 92

Base Defenses are getting build time reduction to compensate for Cruisers being able to attack them with main weapons.

Update v3.1:
Stardocks massive-scale real-time strategy game received an update today that reduces load times and improves combat balance and visuals.
 
Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation takes place in a post-technological singularity world where sentient AI, known as the Substrate, are in a war of annihilation against the Post-Human Coalition.
 
"This update makes significant improvements in performance,†said Stardock CEO Brad Wardell. “We increased the number of CPU cores that can simultaneously interact with the GPU from 8 to 16 which should translate to smoother performance when thousands of units are on screen.â€
 
The Turtle Wars and Entropy scenarios have been re-balanced in order to implement changes from previous version updates. Additionally, the Nashira map has been adjusted to correct some pathing issues that were previously reported.
 
Core Worlds New Maps
Dubola: This medium map for up to 6 players offers few places to hide and tight maneuverability for your armies. There are plenty of metal and radioactive deposits for you to claim, but you'll have to defend them carefully to prevent your enemies from overtaking them.
Gibraltar: There's hardly any room to breathe on this small 2 player map that promises almost immediate action as you fight your opponent for what precious resources are available. The temptation of a single Turinium reactor between you both is almost too much to resist - be careful not to waste too many resources trying to guard it! You might just leave your Nexus defenseless.
Nantes: Up to 6 players will contend with one another for control on this medium-sized map. Each base sits on unique terrain, from plateaus to craters, and you will need to guard your surrounding resources carefully to prevent your enemies from gaining an advantage.
Freising: Face down your enemies on this frozen tundra for up to 4 players. Each base is tucked behind a plateau, obscuring visibility, and other choke points are tactical places for setting up your defenses along the trenches that run through this landscape.
Jigsaw: With winding trenches and vantage points for your base atop small plateaus, this small map provides a close-quarters challenge for up to 4 players. Your armies will need to fight for dominance on the combat paths - maybe a coordinated airstrike can turn the tides in your favor while your enemy is distracted.
