Overview

Every day, the main character suffers from migraines and just crazy headaches. In addition, the occasional intracranial bleeding only shortens the life of our protagonist. All this prompted Simon to take a desperate step he agreed to take part in an experimental course of treatment. The moment a helmet appeared on his head, which was supposed to take a picture of his brain, something went wrong. After activating the device, Jarette finds himself in some strange place, with all its gloomy appearance reminiscent of an abandoned space station or something like a ship.

However, in reality, the protagonist found himself inside a futuristic underwater marine complex. The gameplay in SOMA is presented by a first-person camera and consists of exploring the spaceship and solving puzzles. The latter, most often, are tied to interaction with local electronics, control panels and computer terminals. Simons ability is the ability to hear the echoes of the dead people who were at the station before him. This, in turn, helps to better understand the local storyline.
