The Darkest Tales — is an action platformer where you enter the land of the darkest and scariest fairy tales. Your hero, cute teddy bear Teddy, must find his mistress here. Little girl Alicia accidentally found herself in this world of nightmares, and now she was captured by terrible monsters. Go in search of your girlfriend, exploring the surrounding locations. You will have to face all your worst dreams. You will see in reality the monsters come to life, who came from nightmares. You will have to fight monsters using any available items as weapons.

Overcome obstacles and difficult trials to get to the place where Alicia hid. She does not understand how she got here, and you will need a lot of effort to convince her to return home. Your hero is extremely vulnerable, but he is determined to get his girlfriend back. Use every opportunity to overcome the dangers and advance further in this dreamland. A gloomy journey awaits you through unexplored locations with a dark atmosphere of a distorted world of fairy tales, where the heroes are distinguished by sufficient cruelty.

Changes The Darkest Tales v1.05:
Heavy Charged Attack Mini-game (fix 1 of the 2 planned). We've adjusted the timing to release the attack button during the skill unlock mini-game: now the player have a much larger window to release the button before getting killed by the enemy. The second part of the fix will add more visual feedbacks to that scene and make it more intuitive for the player.
Retroactive fix for players who got stuck in the fight with White Hook on the pirate ship (previous fixes made it so that new players won't get themselves trapped, retroactive fix will free those, who are already stuck).
We've enhanced the visibility of the signs on The Selfishness level. Now, players will know exactly where they're supposed to go. When active, signs will display a glowing symbol, a glowing arrow, and the Genie's trail from the arrow towards the direction he wants you to go, to fulfill his wishes.
We've also made some adjustments to the enemies' hitboxes. Now, Teddy won't get as many hits while jumping around the enemies, at the same time, all of his attacks will land the same way they did before. Hence, hitting the enemy will feel the same, while contact damage will get much more forgiving, so you won't get hurt by the touch of wolf's tail with the pixel of Teddy's boot.
Players can now skip cutscenes by holding the skip button and will not be forced to press it multiple times.

We're sure you can't wait to find out what we have in store for you in the update! And here are some of the most important changes:
redesigned jump operation - now it is smoother and controllability is improved;
changed visual display of some paths and passages to make them more visible;
adjusted deceleration and top speed for jumps, double jumps, wall jumps and jerk falls for better control;
reduced Teddy's fall speed for better control;
fixed Teddy's behavior when touching surfaces with his head: there is now a small time window in which the bear does not fall, which will help avoid accidental mishaps;
redone camera work on the first two levels and improved its behavior when Teddy is hanged to the "tongue plants”;
redesigned camera behavior when using stomp;
added DualSense support.
But that's not all - the list of fixes is extensive and also includes:
fixes a bug with the Berserk Skin;
fixing an error when researching the sixth level;
fix for a bug in sound;
fix for a problem with displaying the game in 4K resolution;
fix for double jump when double keypressing;
fix for hint display when skipping dialogs frequently;
fix for DLC costume display after becoming a Knight;
fix display of long pop-up messages;
simplifying the tutorial, as well as changing the tutorial for charged attack;
fixing an issue with the last level's cutscene;
fixing a bug where Teddy would start floating after stomp;
fixed a movement bug near the lake in the Gullible;
fixes Teddy getting stuck during stomp on crossable platforms;
fixed a save problem on the level with the mirror;
changed the position of the hook on the fourth level;
and many other fixes based on the messages we've received from you!
