Rusted Moss is a dynamic platformer that stands out for its fast pace and hardcore difficulty. The action takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. Life died long ago, and everything around was rusty. You have to fight with rebellious machines covered with rust. The heroine of Rusted Moss can jump, shoot and cling to ledges with a grappling hook. The visual side is made in stylish pixel art with a retro atmosphere. The game mechanics draw on old-school 90s platformers while introducing plenty of modern elements. Locations are vertical platforms on which you can move freely. The world is populated by robots, witches and other monsters.

During the adventure, the protagonist can find more than 20 types of improvements that will help her fight enemies more effectively. You have to fight 6 powerful bosses. After defeating them, you can take their abilities for yourself. The grappling hook helps diversify combat tactics. By clinging, you can shoot at enemies in the air or dodge blows. There are powerful cannons scattered around the map that need to be found. Each barrel has its own unique characteristics. On her way, the girl may meet people, fairies and other surviving creatures. Also on her way there are abandoned shrines and computer stations. Searching them reveals a piece of the planet’s forgotten history. The catacombs contain many secrets and hiding places that improve the heroine’s abilities.
