These meetings serve as a mechanism for building relationships with each guest, growing the business over time. The ultimate goal is to fully manage and expand the tavern.

The path to a 5-star rating in Magic Inn requires prudent resource management. Gamers build supply lines with local farmers and trade with merchants, obtaining goods to satisfy customers, including royalty. The rating system can be manipulated: a detective is paid to identify a disguised judge. This inspector's verdict can then be influenced by money or services rendered. The establishment also attracts ghostly visitors who provide rewards for satisfying their needs, adding another layer to the management simulation.

Achieving a 5-star rating unlocks a larger narrative of tragedy and redemption. During the gameplay, the user uses magic spells to help with the tavern business. Progress also involves collecting magical items and creatures from the surrounding world. Having achieved success and accumulated resources, the gamer gains the ability to influence and change the universe.
