Cropdeck is a card-based farming roguelike where the field becomes a tactical zone, and planting becomes a carefully calculated process. You start with an empty plot, gradually clearing it, and deciding how to use each square to not just grow a crop but extract maximum benefit. Cards set the rhythm: which plants will appear, what opportunities will open up, and what limitations will need to be considered. Misplace them, and you'll lose efficiency, and sometimes even the entire cycle. Plants here don't work independently, but in concert. Some boost adjacent squares, others provide bonuses for specific placement, and still others only blossom with the right combination.

As a result, the field quickly ceases to be just a patch and becomes a system where every step matters. Meanwhile, weather conditions constantly interfere: drought slows growth, storms ruin plans, and cold destroys part of the harvest. Over time, more tools become available: new cards, more powerful effects, and rare combinations. You change your deck, remove unnecessary items, strengthen key elements, and gradually achieve a stable result. But you can't relax taxes arrive on time, and if you're unprepared, all your profits could go to waste. This is where the tension lies: you need to not just grow, but do it effectively.
