You clock in for the night shift at Vespera Hotel, and your job title says it all. You are the receptionist. The game, developed by Idle Gamers, is a compact horror adventure where Action, RPG, Simulation and Adventure mechanics meet at the front desk. It was released in 2024 and still delivers one of the tightest short horror experiences in its corner of Steam.

The manager letter sticks to the wall behind you. It lists the precautions of the building and asks you to greet every guest with a smile. Then the phone starts ringing. Guests call with requests, and every request needs an answer. Some are simple. Others pull you deeper into the hotel than you ever planned to go.

Movement happens floor by floor. The building has an old fashioned lift that connects the levels, and key items wait in rooms across the floors. Press E to pick objects up or to talk with the guests. When you feel lost, press T to check your target and get back on track.

The staff handbook never mentions the other side of the hotel. Not every guest is human, and not every door should be opened. The game carries an explicit jump scare warning, and the silence between the calls is the scariest part of the shift. The halls creak, the bell rings at odd hours, and the camera stays close when the lights go out.

Your answers matter. Different choices lead to different endings, and the hotel remembers how you treated its visitors. Replay the night to see every outcome and to uncover the pieces of the story that stay hidden on a first run.

Controller support is included. Press the View button on the gamepad at any time to check the layout. The whole story fits in a few short sessions, which makes every ending easy to reach.

Vespera is a short and sharp horror game for players who like quiet dread, strange guests, and stories that bend around their own decisions. The night shift may be brief, but the hotel stays with you after the credits roll.
