GT Manager is a racing game where players take control of a racing team. Instead of being behind the wheel, players are put on the pit wall, handling everything from hiring drivers to negotiating sponsorship deals. You have a lot of plates to spin: managing drivers, finding parts for the cars, and making sure the money doesn’t run dry. The goal is simple: make the team faster and more successful than the competition. But like everything in racing, it’s not as easy as it seems.

GT Manager players have a lot of juggling to do. First, there’s talent scouting. Like real motorsport, it’s not just about finding the fastest driver, but finding a driver who fits the team. You might find a driver who has a lot of speed, but lacks the reliability needed to complete long races. On the other hand, a skilled driver might not have the fastest laps, but he or she can consistently bring the car home. Balancing is where the manager really makes money.

There’s also a focus on car development here. Gamers are tasked with overseeing the research and development of parts to improve the car’s performance. Whether it’s upgrading the engine or improving the aerodynamics, every upgrade has an impact on the track. This is where players must consider the factory’s resources. Will you go all out on one big upgrade, or play it safe with a series of smaller, incremental improvements?
