Every Day We Fight is a turn-based tactical RPG that combines real-time exploration with strategic combat, putting you in charge of three resistance fighters trapped in a time loop during an alien invasion. As the mysterious Rifters freeze time and begin harvesting Earth’s resources, your small group must fight and die repeatedly, growing stronger with each loop as all experience and gear carried over between loops. The game features a direct aiming mechanic, where you manually control each shot, with hit chance determined by positioning, aiming accuracy, and ballistics rather than dice rolls.

Combat places a strong emphasis on tactical positioning and teamwork, with fighters able to react to events outside of their normal turn, performing reflexive actions that allow them to intercept enemies or assist allies. You’ll explore multiple areas of the war-torn city, discovering caches of weapons and gear that are permanently unlocked for future loops. Mission variety includes disabling alien harvesters, defusing bombs, and taking out occupation forces, as well as optional secondary objectives that require you to risk your progress to save frozen civilians. Boss battles against heavily armored Rifter leaders advance the time loop when defeated, gradually building toward breaking the loop entirely. The strategic depth comes from deciding whether to play it safe or take a risk for greater gain, knowing that death will simply reset the loop and your hard-earned progress will remain intact.
