KindFolx features a real-time action system integrated with tactical card combat, putting the player in control of a hero wielding a deck. Gameplay is focused on passing random encounters, which forces you to make quick and unconventional decisions in battle. At the start, you will have to choose one of three monsters from the Adventurer's Guild: an outcast orphan, a wealthy nobleman, or a cocky fist fighter.

Each hero offers a unique path and set of skills to fight the city's elite. The story unfolds in the city of KindFolx, which was founded on the principle of peace between humans and the monster race after a long-ago war. These foundations collapsed under the oppression of the current leader of the monsters, Darlok, whose power is based on hatred of humanity. His regime systematically persecutes and oppresses the wealthiest and most influential human citizens, changing the previous order of power.

The adventurers guild, to which the main character belongs, intends to crush this evil and free the population from the established tyranny. The project offers to open and use more than 250 cards, which allows you to create a variety of strategic decks. Each attempt to get to the city center is unique thanks to procedurally generated locations with various events, artifacts and combat situations. This approach ensures that each run poses new tactical challenges for the gamer. After successfully completing the main goal, additional difficulty levels are opened, raising the bar for challenges.
