Voxelgram 2 involves systematically creating 3D voxel models based on numerical logic clues placed on several axes. The player analyzes these clues to determine exactly which blocks to keep and which to destroy, gradually "hewing" the hidden object out of the solid mass. Each successfully solved puzzle becomes an element of a larger thematic diorama, which the gamer assembles piece by piece.

This meditative process effectively combines spatial thinking with sequential deduction to construct intricate figures from simple cubic elements. The core gameplay in Voxelgram 2 contains 250 unique puzzles, grouped into 20 hand-crafted dioramas with different plots. The key change to the problem system is the introduction of the two-color rule, which adds an additional layer of complexity to the logical tests and requires more attention.

In addition, owners of the original Voxelgram get access to all 250 puzzles, completely redesigned for the new two-color mechanics. This approach effectively doubles the amount of curated content available to complete, offering even more challenges. In addition to pre-prepared challenges, the project offers a procedural generation system to create a continuous stream of new tasks. These algorithmically generated challenges can vary significantly in size, overall shape, and structural features.
