Axols Quest RPG that casts players as a plucky axolotl explorer on a quest to reclaim the Crystal of Currents from the depths of a flooded fantasy world. The story centers on Aria, a young axolotl scholar whose underwater village is threatened by a drought curse unleashed when the villainous Kraken King steals the crystal to fuel his tidal tyranny. Teaming up with a ragtag crew of amphibian adventurers, Aria delves into sunken ruins and coral labyrinths, uncovering a legend of the ancient Aquarions who once balanced the seas with the crystal's power. From humble pond skirmishes to epic abyssal boss battles, Aria's journey explores themes of friendship and environmental harmony, with player choices influencing alliances and the fate of the ocean realms.

The game boasts over 40 aquatic classes, from bubble mage to trident knight, each with skill trees that branch into hybrid builds like a stealthy ink slinger or a healing wave rider, customizable through regen orbs scavenged from defeated sea beasts or crafted in hidden grottos. Players can equip relic fins or enchanted gills, looted from treasure chests or bartered with merfolk traders, to adapt to diverse depths from shallow streams to crushing trenches. The submerged continent is divided into five biomes, the vibrant reef shallows for school swimming puzzles, the kelp forest mazes for vine like entanglement combats, the volcanic vent caves for heat hazard dodges, the icy polar caps for slip slide platforming, and the abyssal plains for zero visibility hunts. Each biome hides secrets like optional side quests with lore tomes or destructible coral revealing shortcut currents.
