The Legacy is a co-op survival horror game immersing you in a dark story about a family curse in an abandoned town. The events unfold years after 1990, when the local sorcerer, a Molfar grandfather, refused to sacrifice one of his descendants to the dark forces of the forest. To save his grandchildren, he sent them from their hometown of Svetlograd to Kyiv, but this act doomed the entire region to death and desolation.

Now grown, the brother and sisters return to their homeland to confront the horror that has engulfed their home and try to stop an ancient evil. They must explore a vast open world, piecing together clues about the tragedy from the notes of former residents, and confront the dangers of the cursed land. Survival in these harsh conditions requires coordinated action and constant vigilance. The game emphasizes high replayability through procedural generation of key elements with each new start.

This transforms each playthrough of The Legacy into a unique adventure with an unpredictable ending. To uncover the mystery of the curse, characters must join forces, wisely manage their resources, and battle the creatures of darkness lurking in the forests and abandoned buildings of Svetlograd. An atmosphere of mystery and constant tension is maintained by mystical stories that reveal the lore of this world.
