Bladesong is a weaponsmithing simulator set in the enclave of Eren Keep, the last bastion of civilization in a world plunged into despair and madness. The city is ruled by the Masked King, whose authority is maintained with an iron grip. The protagonist is a blacksmith who forges steel into deadly works of art for warriors, nobles, and mercenaries. Their primary activity involves fulfilling orders that require not only skill but also an understanding of the physical properties of metal. The blade-making process offers deep customization thanks to a modular assembly system and the ability to freely shape the blade. A variety of materials, including wood, leather, obsidian, and ivory, allow for the creation of unique weapons.

Crafting weapons for various factions inevitably draws the protagonist into political intrigue, as a plot against the tyrannical ruler is brewing behind the high fortress walls. In Bladesong, every decision matters, and the mysterious disappearance of the previous blacksmith serves as an ominous omen. The master's growing influence attracts the attention of the Masked King, turning the forge into the center of a brewing conflict. To expand production, assistants with unique stories and ambitions can be hired. The future of humanity's last stronghold depends on the choice of allies and the quality of the forged blades.
