Suzy always insisted that ghosts did not exist. Now she owes the universe an apology, because a ghost is chasing her through an abandoned water park. heXtreamingDeep is a puzzle adventure horror game from LaputaGames, published by IGNOST, and it starts with one rule that decides everything: find a place to hide before you get caught in the open corridors.

Hiding carries its own risks. A hiding spot must be safe, because the place you rush into might turn out to be the embrace of another ghost. Reading the environment matters as much as moving through it, and every corner of the water park can hold either salvation or a fresh threat. Choosing where to duck and when to run defines the experience from the first corridor to the last, and the tension never lets up for long.

Manuals scattered across the park serve as Suzy's lifeline. The people who worked here left instructions behind, and although reading anything longer than one line is a chore for the heroine, this time she must focus, because her survival literally depends on those few lines of text. Following the manual instructions correctly unlocks the way forward, while mistakes draw the ghosts closer and force you to retrace your steps through the flooded halls.

Puzzles block every route to escape. Locked padlocks, closed doors and riddles triggered by paranormal phenomena fill the park, and each path demands a solution before it opens. For a protagonist who loathes puzzles the irony is cruel; for players it is the main source of satisfaction. Piece together clues from the manuals and the surroundings to lead Suzy out of the water park in this mature horror escape story with atmosphere to spare. Every solved riddle brings Suzy closer to the exit, and closer to understanding why the park woke up hungry.
