Fallen Tear The Ascension is a hand-drawn 2D Metroidvania that seamlessly blends classic platforming with deep Japanese RPG mechanics. The game takes place on the expanses of the fading continent of Raoa, whose dense forests and intricate cave systems harbor numerous secrets. The environment is not a static backdrop, as the landscape continually transforms based on the player's decisions. Exploring ten interconnected regions requires a constant search for unconventional routes. Success in battle depends directly on the skillful combination of basic attacks. The central figure of the narrative is a young hunter named Hira, desperately trying to recover fragments of a forgotten past. The boy must challenge a maddened pantheon of deities, whose corruption has plunged once-prosperous lands into chaos.
