About The Game
MINOS is an unusual roguelike where you play as a Minotaur named Asterion. Instead of simply running and fighting, you must build deadly labyrinths and set traps to destroy waves of heroes coming to kill you. The game is divided into two phases: first, you calmly plan the floor, moving walls, placing spikes, fire traps, turrets, and decoys. Then, the siege begins, and you control the Minotaur yourself, finishing off those who finally reach the siege.
Between waves, you can spend energy to mine resources from rocks, collect gold and blood for new traps, and obtain temporary artifacts that change the way you play. If you're low on energy, you can sacrifice your health—a risky, but often worthwhile move. Constant progress comes through upgrading the Minotaur and setting new traps in the hub between floors. Occasionally, you encounter special puzzle floors or challenges that require you to precisely place traps or figure out a sequence of actions.
The game requires attention and planning, but it also provides immense satisfaction when your labyrinth works perfectly and soldiers fall into deadly traps one after another. The atmosphere of an ancient labyrinth, the dark humor, and the feeling of being a true master of death make MINOS a delight for those who enjoy thinking and experimenting.
