Valorborn is a medieval sandbox RPG in the style of Kenshi, where you're thrust into a brutal fantasy world and start life practically from scratch. Initially, you might be enslaved and forced to swing a pickaxe to avoid being dangled by a rope. From there, everything is entirely up to you: gather resources, create a party of several characters, explore the vast open world, join towns, and gradually build your own settlement. You can trade, steal, hunt, or simply wander wherever your heart desires.

The main draw is freedom and life simulation. You decide who to be: a warrior, a thief, a craftsman, or something else entirely. Crafting is quite in depth you gather materials, set up workbenches, hire workers, and craft everything from simple tools to entire buildings. You can rent a house in town or set up camp in the wilderness. The world is alive: there are different factions, dangerous creatures, and tons of places you can explore from the basement to the rooftop. The game gives you the feeling that you really have an impact on your piece of this world.
