UFOPHILIA is a first-person psychological horror game about hunting aliens, where your main weapons aren't bullets, but equipment, observation, and a strong nerve. You travel to locations where people have reported close encounters, set up equipment, search for signs of anomalies, and try to figure out who exactly is nearby. The problem is, the unknown is also studying you and doesn't always wait for you to calmly take a photo. The mission begins with searching for clues. EMF detectors, night vision cameras, directional microphones, heart rate sensors, and other devices help narrow down the pool of suspects.

You can't simply run around the location and hope for luck: each alien type has its own reactions, behavior, and weaknesses, and the wrong move can quickly turn the investigation into a struggle to survive. Once the spawn zone is found, the most nerve-wracking part of the job begins. The alien becomes visible, but you can only approach it if certain conditions are met. One might play on your fears, another might be curious, and a third might be aggressive and ready to kidnap an unwary explorer. You need to take a photo in time, otherwise, all that's left as evidence is a blank film and some very bad memories.
