Be Missed and Remembered The Letter from Mayoiga is a visual novel in which Japanese folklore is combined with the nostalgic atmosphere of the 1970s. You play as a high school student who, in the summer of 1972, comes to the village to live with his grandparents, where a local legend warns that one should not enter the cursed mountains. Despite the fact that the main character does not attach importance to these superstitions, he goes to the old sanctuary hidden in the lake and meets there a person who for some reason seems familiar to him although the memories of their first meeting have disappeared, which is a mysterious effect of Mayoig itself (The Lost House).

The game is an episodic story written by Tomo Kataoka, known for the game *narcissu*, with character design by Werkbau and full Japanese voice acting throughout the game's duration of 7-10 hours. The narrative explores the themes of memory, loss, and childhood through the lens of bittersweet experiences, and the simplified controls are designed specifically for comfortable playthrough. After completing the game, players can return to key moments in the "Gallery" mode, which allows you to easily rethink the emotional climaxes of the plot. The atmosphere of the game is largely inspired by authentic Japanese mythology and the specific cultural color of Showa-era Japan. The pace of the game is designed to be completed in one sitting, drawing you to the very end without any let-up.
