Rustbound is a settlement management simulation from developer Wylde Wisp Games. The old world is gone, cities lie under vines and nature has taken back the ground, but the game is not about surviving the end. It is about what comes after.

The player starts with one abandoned outpost. Survivors get recruited, workshops get built, and forgotten scrap turns into useful equipment. Every workshop and every trade moves the community one step closer to a real settlement.

Crafting runs deep. Hundreds of weapons, tools, clothing, gadgets and trade goods can be made using reclaimed technology and recovered materials. Blueprints drive the system, and upgraded workshops unlock new recipes across specialized professions.

The economy needs customers, not just crafters. Prices get set, inventory gets managed and requests get fulfilled. Supply and demand shape the marketplace, and experimenting with pricing keeps the trading network alive.

Survivors come with skills. Specialists like Scrappers, Outriders, Patchers, Mechanists and Provisionists each unlock new workshops and production options. Equipping them with better gear and developing their skills turns the crew into the foundation of a new civilization.

Expeditions bring risk and reward. The Marauder can push into hostile ruins to recover resources, lost technology and rare equipment. Going deeper means bigger gains and bigger dangers, and the decision to turn back is always on the table.

The world looks bright for a post apocalyptic setting. Overgrown factories become workshops, and nature and humanity grow together in the same frame. The tone stays hopeful and relaxing, with management rather than combat as the main activity.

Long term progression ties everything together. New technologies open new professions, and each improvement unlocks fresh opportunities for the whole community. The settlement grows in visible steps, and every piece of scrap has a purpose.

The current version is the 17 August 2026 build, tagged Build 24278195. It is a full release packed in an ISO image and ready to install. Wylde Wisp Games publishes the title on Steam.
