Description

GRIME — is a platformer with RPG and metroidvania elements. It was developed by the Israeli independent studio Clover Bite, for which it is the debut game. The game takes place in a surreal, organic and unexplored world. The hero of the game must survive what scares him the most, absorbing the enemies he meets on his way and using their own qualities against them. The aim of the game is to discover the source of the madness of the inhabitants of the fallen world. GRIME is a platformer focused not only on overcoming obstacles, but, above all, on fighting the enemies we face as we explore damp caves, dark desert and other interesting places.

About This Game

We must survive in difficult conditions using weapons that change in form and function. Among them are excellent swords, ragged axes, throwing blades and whips, which can be exchanged during duels. This does not forgive stumbling in the game world it is very easy to get killed, and not only at the hands of big bosses, with whom you have to apply individual tactics. During the battle, you must skillfully parry the attacks of monsters, dodge, use the abilities of your character and call certain combos at the right time, or select the type of weapon for the enemy. In this aspect, the developers refer to games from the Souls series.

GRIME — uses original mechanics to absorb the remains of fallen enemies, which power up our ship. This is due to the character development system. Absorbing monsters allows you to unlock new skills, the choice of which depends on your preferred playstyle. GRIME is a 2D side-scroller created using 3D technology. The game provides a very good visual experience thanks to unusual locations that are reminiscent of a fallen civilization. Also, the developers drew attention to the detailed models of creepy and sometimes terrifying enemies.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

  1. Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.

  2. Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.

  3. After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.

  4. Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

    Update v1.1.37:Gameplay:- Outfits now grant attribute modifiers and, upon equipping a complete set, grant additional unique modifiers, usually to an existing trait.* The first 10 levels of stats have been slightly nerfed (by 0.5) to compensate for the newly added armor stats letting players get that much closer to OP numbers.- Each equipment slot has a smaller slot which you can equip with a chosen outfit, changing its visual by keeping the stats granted equipped in the main, larger slot.1.
