About The Game
Steel Assault — play as Taro Takahashi, a resistance soldier on a mission to destroy the dictator who reigns supreme in post-apocalyptic America. The game is mainly focused on close combat, but the player is also equipped with various types of weapons. Its aesthetic is inspired by the latest 8-bit games for the Nintendo Entertainment System NES such as Shatterhand and Batman. These games used strong anti-aliasing and detailing in negative space to create a dark atmosphere within the constraints of a primitive system.
