All points on the map are connected by roads, and those branch out and lead in different directions. Accordingly, you are free to go along different routes, focusing on what bonuses each captured city gives — these may be advantages to the characteristics of your mercenaries, new products in the shop and even a chance to get into the ranks of the Silent Legion of a new recruit, such as a mage or a murderer.​
