Grit and Valor 1949 Build 17866702 (upd.27.03.2025) - TENOKE

Grit and Valor 1949 is a strategy game set in a version of World War II where the Axis forces conquered Europe with the help of powerful robotic mechs. The player leads a squadron of Allied mech pilots on a desperate mission to combat this overwhelming enemy force, engaging in real-time tactical combat against enemies and controlling their squad through a roguelike strategy game that includes unit customization and upgrades. There are plenty of strategy games set during World War II, but few of them reimagine the era through fictional technology or other alternate history explorations.

This highlights the upcoming Grit and Valor 1949, a mecha-tactics game in the vein of XCOM 2, Into the Breach, and the World War I-inspired Iron Brigade. And that also makes today’s demo launch of the game worth a look. Although Grit and Valor 1949 is due out next year, a demo was recently released. It includes the British Isles region, the first of four areas that will be featured in the final game, three different mechs and pilots, training grounds, and an example of a general progression system.
