LUNAR Remastered Collection features two role-playing adventures set in a single fantasy universe. The first, Silver Star Story Complete, follows the character Alex and his companions as they fight against a figure known as the Magic Emperor. Their goal is to prevent the world from being taken over. The second title, LUNAR 2 Eternal Blue Complete, takes place 1,000 years later and introduces Hiro, who is traveling with a girl named Lucia and other companions.

The party encounters enemies including Borgan and the White Knight Leo, who are searching for Lucia because they believe she is a bringer of destruction. The gameplay in LUNAR Remastered Collection is based on turn-based combat, where the gamer must direct the actions of the party. The heroes use magic, special skills, and items in battle. As they progress, the characters level up and master unique abilities that correspond to their class.

LUNAR 2 Eternal Blue Complete adds the Crest System, allowing you to equip items that provide bonuses to stats or access to powerful magic through their combinations. The collection contains features designed to change the original gameplay, as well as options to preserve the original look. Animated videos and scenes within the project are accompanied by voice acting. Settings allow you to adjust the speed of battles, choosing from three options. Silver Star Story offers an optional system of shared inventory for the entire squad and allows you to customize the behavior of individual heroes during automatic battles.
