Skin Deep is a dynamic shooter with elements of immersive sim. It is necessary to explore a huge spaceship, and do it as unnoticed as possible. The hero will have to sneak, blow up and sabotage — all to survive in this stellar sandbox. The hero is alone, he cannot be detected in any way, and he has no weapons or even shoes. The reason is simple: the character was traveling in a cryocapsule on a spaceship, wanted to get to another planet. But a gang of pirates attacked the haven of star travelers. The ship is in danger, as are the unsuspecting prisoners of the cryochambers. Only the hero, thanks to a system failure, was lucky to thaw in time and get a chance to survive.

The lack of weapons at the very beginning is the main feature of Skin Deep. In order to survive, not be detected, and still get out of the trap alive, you need to do a lot of mischief. Even the absence of shoes can turn into an advantage, because barefoot it is much easier to climb all sorts of ledges and heights, climb into ventilation holes, move without making unnecessary sounds. Of course, such harmless stealth cannot help out forever. You need to climb into closed offices, pick locks, search rooms. Sooner or later, you will be able to find an unattended pistol… or something larger. And then the victim will turn into a hunter.

In any case, the main weapon in this game is stealth and invisibility. There are a lot of enemies, so if you eliminate them, then only one by one, and so that no one notices the body. Otherwise, all opponents will be raised on alarm, and it is simply impossible to cope with such a crowd. It is better not to bring it to direct clashes; explosives, a trap, or just stealthy walking will cope with the tasks more effectively.
