UNDER DEFEAT is a vertically scrolling shooter that offers players a deep dive into military combat. The action takes place in a world where the Empire and the Federation have been at war for over a decade, with both sides growing weary and seeking a truce. With the impending truce uncertain, new weapons and combat strategies are put into play, setting the stage for an even more intense conflict. Gamers take control of a combat helicopter tasked with neutralizing enemy forces by delivering a variety of strikes against air and ground targets. UNDER DEFEAT is not just about aiming and shooting.

The title introduces a layer of strategic maneuvering where positioning and timing can be as important as the firepower at your disposal. Each of the four helicopters offers its own set of challenges, allowing gamers to experiment with different tactics and approaches. Simple controls open up a world of complexity, making the game easy to pick up but difficult to master. You’ll have to dodge enemy fire while landing your own blows, all within dynamic stages that evolve as you progress.

The title features three modes, each designed for different styles. Arcade mode offers a classic experience, while New Order changes up the stage design and rules. Practice mode allows users to hone their skills, while online leaderboards provide a competitive environment that challenges you to beat the best. Add to that Gallery mode for the chance to unlock art and new BGM tracks.
