In Dead Reset, surgeon Cole Mason is forced to operate on a patient to remove a parasitic organism while isolated in an underwater station. After being kidnapped and taken to this facility, the protagonist finds himself trapped in a brutal and repeating cycle of deaths. Each failure and subsequent horrific death is not the end, but a way to look at the situation from a different angle. This series of deaths becomes the main method of collecting information, uncovering the truth, and finding a way to escape from the bloody trap.

Dead Reset interactive storyline offers decisions in tense situations that determine the character's future fate. Choices made under pressure direct the hero along the path of Redemption or Damnation, testing his morality at key moments in the narrative. The consequences of actions directly affect the outcome of the fight for life. Ultimately, the combination of the player's choices leads to one of 4 unique endings, each of which offers its own ending. An optional mode is available that removes the time frame for making decisions and simplifies the gameplay.

In this game, interaction with other characters is a key element, in addition to personal moral dilemmas. The gamer can establish connections and strengthen trust or destroy alliances with other inhabitants of the station through dialogues and actions. The strength of these relationships directly affects the chances of survival, because allies can both help and become a burden. A special tracker clearly displays the current status of relations with each character, and also shows which of them are still alive at the facility.
