About The Game
Outward 2 is the sequel to the uncompromising action RPG, whose world prioritizes not heroic deeds but the harsh reality of the ordinary adventurer. The protagonist must navigate the hostile universe of Aurai, where the changing seasons directly impact the environment. Frozen rivers become navigable in winter, and merchants and other characters shift their locations depending on the season. Four distinct regions, each with its own biomes and weather patterns, from blizzards to acid rain, will force players to constantly adapt to the changing conditions.
A central aspect of gameplay in Outward 2 is careful preparation for any expedition. The backpack becomes a key element of survival, and every item in it is of immense value. The combat system has been significantly reworked, offering smoother animations and the ability to combo attacks, while each weapon type has its own distinct feel. Using magic is not a simple button press, but a complex ritual.
Defeat in combat does not end the adventure, but merely opens a new chapter with unpredictable consequences. The character may wake up robbed, saved by a random passerby, or seriously injured. Skill development occurs through a system of exercises, where passive abilities improve depending on the player's playstyle. The journey begins with a choice of three starting scenarios and eleven biographies, each defining the initial conditions. Overcome all the difficulties of this world either solo or in cooperative mode, designed for two players.
