Well Keeper is an indie action game where you control a lightning-powered mouse that flies by flapping its ears. You'll battle 30 unique waves of enemies across three levels, each with its own distinct attack patterns, and you'll automatically fire lightning bolts at your enemies. Defeated enemies drop coins that can be spent on upgrading 24 different stats and Wishes special abilities ranging from new weapons and stat boosts to economic bonuses and weapon modifiers. Each level culminates in a challenging boss fight, featuring multi-layered attack patterns and multiple phases that require more than standard wave-breaking tactics.

The game features a progression system where death sends you back to the start of the level with lost coins, but you keep all unlocked Wishes, making each subsequent attempt more challenging. The movement mechanics include ear flapping for horizontal direction and altitude control, and a sideways dash for projectile evasion. This simple control scheme allows for surprisingly expressive and agile maneuvers during combat. The combination of automatic shooting, upgrade-based progression, and unique wave design creates tense and dynamic gameplay. Corporate Potato designed the game to be an escalating challenge that rewards persistence through a "die and try again" cycle, ensuring you grow stronger with each playthrough.
