About The Game

Age of Pirates Captain Blood is a third-person action adventure game that combines exploration mechanics with hack-n-slash combat. The game is based on the pirate novel of the same name by Rafael Sabatini, «The Adventures of Captain Blood». The story tells of a military doctor who, by chance, turned out to be a gentleman of fortune and a terror of the seas. At the final stage of development, when the project was being prepared for release, it was canceled. For a long time, the working build was considered lost, but through the efforts of real adventurers, it was possible to find such a valuable artifact of the gaming industry.

The events of Age of Pirates Captain Blood unfold in medieval England. Peter Blood, being unjustly convicted, is sent into slavery on the island of Barbados. Here he manages to escape from captivity during a pirate raid. Having hijacked a Spanish ship and left the harbor, the amazing adventures of the brave hero begin. The campaign consists of 12 unique missions. The gameplay is divided into three components: hand-to-hand combat, arena bosses and sea travel.

In the first case, the game is a dynamic action game based on combinations of blows and battles with numerous opponents. Blood’s combat arsenal consists of muskets, sabers and knives. Some missions allow you to switch to the protagonist’s friend — a hero named Pitt. The environment stands out for its interactivity. Use objects from the environment or pick up weapons dropped by opponents. Each episode ends with a tense fight with a strong boss. All the leaders have their own unique patterns and abilities. Many villains from the original novel are presented. One of the most charismatic antagonists is Easterling. The character is not inferior in terms of elaboration to the main protagonist of the game. Blood has a special rage scale, when filled, the hero goes into rage mode, cutting out all the enemies in the location.

Taking the helm of a ship, you can freely sail the seas and oceans, fighting enemies and capturing other people’s vessels. Sea adventures are made in the best traditions of Corsairs. An incredible advantage of the project is the artistic style, which is a mixture of Fable and Darksiders. The game world greets you with majestic castles, mega-guns, machine guns with cannonballs, giant crocodiles, mystical Spanish dungeons, etc. The developers allow you to slide into humor and absurdity.
