The story develops non-linearly, and the ending depends on the style of passage. Even familiar missions can lead to unexpected consequences. Information often has to be collected independently — through conversations or observation. The game builds a world where there are almost no direct clues, and the atmosphere is based on the internal logic of what is happening.

The expanded edition changes the perception of the environment. A new lighting system, redesigned water and sky supply, as well as updated weapon and character models make the gameplay more intense.
