About The Game

Captain of Industry is a game project developed in the genre of a strategy simulator, which gives us the opportunity to lead a large industrial network. First of all, we go to a large, long-abandoned island, which is a suitable place for further construction. Explore the territory, start extracting the necessary resources and start creating a future large-scale enterprise. The storyline will tell you that the world is on the verge of complete destruction and only you are the last hope for its salvation.

Ahead of the main character are trials, obstacles and dangers that he will be able to overcome if he builds a strategic plan correctly. To achieve the goal, the player is given a lot of opportunities, and the game is as exciting as possible, so we will not have time to get bored. Go through all the obstacles, complete the task and save the world from total chaos.

NOTE. Uploaded version: 3 June 2026 [v0.8.5 Build 23490631]. This is Full Release and latest version of game. The game is already Packaged in Installer and ready to run the game after install, read the instruction below.

How to Install

1. The first thing we do is download the game files.
2. Unzip the archive to the hard disk. (how to unzip .rar)
3. Wait for the unpacking process to finish.
4. Start the game «Captain.of.Industry.exe» from game folder.
5. The language changes in the menu.

    * Added recipe to digest eggs in anaerobic digester.
    * Increased orbital cargo limits.
    * Optimized train driving to reduce slowdowns and waiting by taking other trains’ speed and inertia into account and allowing double-reservations, assuming that trains cannot stop instantly.
    * Old odd-sized level crossings were marked obsolete and cannot be placed via copy-paste or blueprints.

    Fixes
    * Level crossings now preserve no-stopping zone state through copy-paste and blueprints.
    * Trucks should no longer exit in the middle of a level crossing, potentially getting struck in between train tracks.
    * Fixed memory leak caused by housing previews. This also reduces the memory footprint of house models for settlements with more than 8 houses.
    * Fixed that camera heights was not properly updated when panning to locations, such as when clicking on notifications.
    * Fixed arc furnace disappearing from silicon toolbar.
    * Fixed notifications tabs collapsing to too small height when they are all showing.

    Backwards compatibility

    Saves from Updates 2 and 3 are fully compatible with Update 4. However, due to various changes, existing factories may need to be updated.
    All mods have to be recompiled and use the new mod manifest file.

     
    Notable breaking changes

    Some pre-existing docking areas might not be working if built near shallow waters.
     

    New feature: Bridges

    Introduced 2 types of bridges: truss and cable-stayed.
    Bridges have a modular lane system that currently supports either roads or train tracks.
    Bridges are constructed similarly to train tracks by placing a start point and dragging a bridge.
    Bridges can be built in 8 cardinal directions, but can be connected to the terrain only in 4 directions.
    Bridges are fully compatible with all tools, such as copy/paste and blueprints.
     

    New feature: Amphibious vehicles

    Added amphibious trucks and excavators that can traverse and work on water.
    Unless assigned, amphibious trucks only take jobs that normal trucks fail to do.
    Amphibious excavators can mine underwater to a depth of -5.
     

    New feature: Pathfinding for ships

    Ships now use pathfinding.
    Docks can be built anywhere and will work as long as they have access to the map edge.
    Added ships navigation overlay similar to vehicles.
    Ships capacity was increased to compensate for longer travel times.
    World mines capacity was increased as well.
